Quick thermal compound question

I am about to buy a Zalman Cnps 9500. My question is do I have to get artic silver 5 or will the compound that comes with the fan work just a well?

How much would it lower it buy? 5 Degrees versus the other compound?

If it lowers it 5ºC, that's a major improvement. I'd definetly go for the AS5. It's cheap and will help your temperatures.

If you are spending money for a 9500, you should definitely spend another few bucks on the thermal compound (AS5).
