Pen Drive showing less memory!!

I just bought a 256 MB pen drive. When i connected it through USB, it was showing 245MB total space. I understood that rest of space was for formatting purposes. Now i started transferring data and found that i could transfer max of 109 MB data....after that t5he drive showed an error. So i reformatted the drive again and it now shows only 119MB free space!! WHEREZ D OTHER ******* SPACE?? m feeling cheated.... can any1 help please??

Hmm... maybe it was just a faulty drive, you should take it back and get a new one, maybe the new one will work fine

Try reformatting it with either FAT (original FAT, not FAT32) or NTFS, whatever one it's not using now. This may help.
