Old games and New system

I want to play games like (Thief, Thief 2 metal age) etc on my current computer system which had Nvidia Geforce Ultra 8800 graphics card, etc.

The problem is that the game freezes . Tell me how to make it compatible with this system?

That's why. I'm suprised vista even let you install them, honestly.

That is one reason I am avoiding Vista right now....man...I want to be able to play my CLASSICS!

just dual boot with windows 2000 or xp to play the older games.

Also i thought you run programs in compatibility mode for older programs and games.

The games like Thief etc is not working both under Vista and XP. The problem is that game freezes after few minutes of play and Geforce 8800 has no driver for win98.

If they're older games they should run fine a VM.

Downlaod VMware and run Windows Whatever inside a Virtual Machine.
