I understand how to partition my C: drive and have done so, I think, b/c now I show a new "T" drive on my computer. What I need help with is, how do I use it? I would like to put "dangerous" downloads and programs in there and leave my C drive "safe". I don't understand how to put stuff in the T drive. Also, if I put things in my T drive, is it insulated from the C drive?
Thanks

Use windows explorer to move files to your new drive.
No "T" is not safe from any worms.
If your HD dies, it will take "T" with it.

If I buy an extra harddrive or external drive can I put "dangerous" programs on that, which will keep my C drive safe?

No, a virus can take over your entire computer. The safest thing to do would to not download dangerous files, of course, but if you absolutely had to, then use a virtual machine.

Could you please explain exactly how that works? What is needed to accomplish that? or a link to a tutorial or some instructions?
