At some point moving back from college, my hard-drive got damaged. It had all of the tell-tale signs of approaching failure: the h/d arm makes large clicking noise which is immediately followed by my computer freezing for 3-6 seconds.
I replaced the harddrive but had trouble with my boot order. So I placed the old injured harddrive in to try to fix the boot order. And miraculously, the harddrive has been working perfectly.
How rare is this and what exactly is going on???
PS- What function key do I have to press to change the boot order for an Intel Mobo?
All help is much appreciated!!!!
Thanks!
