Microsoft Office costs money?

I've heard that the Office Beta 2, along with Vista RC2 is a free download, at least until they're released.

I downloaded my Vista RC2 okay, and got the key, but Office Beta 2 costs $30 to download the full 2GB...a download fee? [rant] What's next, and why are they doing this? Another way for Bill to get greedy? [/rant]

i used to use ms office 5.0 for win 3.1 on my win xp because i couldn't afford office xp and the idiots i got my computer from didn't bundle anything useful with it.
