memory could not be read while playing any game

i am using 1gb of 333 memory... my mob is K7n2 nforce 2 series. its running dual channel.. i hav 2 sticks.. each 512mb and i have had no errors on the mem test

edit.. also i did the memory test for about 45 mins

ok then it may not be a memory error, just the easiest thing to check. Do you know how to post a screen shot of the error message?

ok..good, thx for the info.

now try to take one stick out, and play w/ just 512mb...see how far you get before crashing..

if you don't crash...then switch it out, and do the same w/ the other.

if that one doesn't crash either, then it may just be incompatible w/ the mobo....

have you updated your chipset drivers as well? not just the vid-card one...

run the game w/ each stick and see what happens...

i had memory error problems sometimes..before,...and all i did, was switch the sticks around..and it worked fine again...

so try that...

windows "blue screen of death" is what happens when windows really crashes hard. Its a blue screen with white text that tells you what happened, that inforamtion is very good for troubleshooting.

i know that its a blue screen of death.. but does it mean a hardware fault or what
