Ah Thanx alot man. Ive pretty much given the disks to the dogs so they can play w/ it. lol. My friend told my about Fedora and Mandriva. Ill keep this thread on tabs so when i get a chance to DL ill grab one.

SUSE is big in Europe and Fedora is big in America.


I recommend those but many Linux users also recommend Debian, Slackware. Though I do not.

I have a small partion on my 200 GB HD and its 4 GB and it seems perfect for linux. I might give it a go.

I did the test thing that jakec posted and it gave maranda Kubuntu and Ubuntu

Then use Kubuntu, it's based on Debian so you should be good-to-go... only thing is that its KDE. I hate KDE.

wats wrong with KDE? i like KDE much better than Gnome, and i sure as he** aint gonna use command lines, lol. it said Mandriva and Kubuntu for me. and Fedora as an addition, im gonna try kubuntu for myself on my new computer.

Yea, i dont know what any of this means lol. I feel like im back in the day when my dad gave me my first machine w/ Windows 95 and said do w/e you want, you wont **** it up.
