is it possible that my video card can use enough memory from my computer to make it freeze randomly?

yeah, but it this video card take 64mb's of memory from the computer, so I don't know, I'm gonna take it into the shop I'm just plain fed up with it. I just want it to work so I can play guildwars and what not on it.

Shouldn't the video card be using its own memory only? Why would it use system memory, too?

Anyway, freezing can be caused by lots of things. The two biggest culprits are hardware problems and overheating. Check to make sure all your connections are tight and everything is installed properly. Check your temps, too.

its probably the "turbo cache" version of the 6200. If it is, then it does use the RAM as video memory.

Then would more ram possibly fix the problem?

maybe, more ram would be cool too. I have 512mb on my hp and I want to get more on that. I think 1gig would be better for a 64bit cpu anyway.
