I don't know what to do now

went through the steps and still nothing happens, xp won't load and safe mode still only shows 16 drives loading up and just hangs there over 20mins and nothing

the xp loading screen won't show up the one with the status bar and i didn't get to look in safe mode the last one that loads, my co-worker took the HD to recover the docs and when it gets back jus gonna wipe it and reinstall, the person needs its it back right away because that computer prints licenses for their program
