its probably a failed CPU fan, theres no way the heatsink moved or unseated itself when it used to idle at 40*c , unless your friend kicked the s*** out of the computer then ya it would make sence

maybe.... sooo many possibilities, not enough phone calls...still have not heard from him

or it could be the mobo, always had probs with it, from bsod's to no boots, to hdd's not detected, to audio just stopping, same with network, it failed for about 3 days and then just magically turned itself back on, its an ABIT AN52.

and he yells at me because I have a DFI Infinity ....lol he would freak if I told him my chipset temp *cough*60C*cough*

and thats stock from dfi, no worries tho, it can take 90, and as soon as I get some money, I am going to get one of those big things from thermalright that looks like a skinny ninja the size of a 100mm fan.
