We didnt even have any weapons out there lol, all we had were hmmvws and hemtts....oh and a couple dueces and of course a tanker and a wrecker.

before i moved, i live in puerto rico. no big hurricanes probably the biggest problem i heard not sure if it is true they said that the governor (i think the first women) made a mistake with the power company and the whole island didnt have power. the good thing was we had a power generator. ill try to look for the article.

now i move to houston 2 weeks ago and here comes a hurricane that ppl say that it will be like katrina but weaker. ive been looking at weather.com everyday to check if it path change (changes everyday) and what category it currently is. i hope i dont have to go to school cz school sucks right now. it is catergory 3 but they said it will restrengthen in 24 hrs.

I was actually 94 miles north of Houston this whole time.

We almost went down there but nothing happened...but yeah be prepared for hurricanes every year.

But seriously mate if you get deployed again take it easy - oh an if you have to sleep in a hummer again socks can make a excellent pillow if you take one an stuff 3 others inside it.

Yeah i used my rucksack as a pillow and just layed the pt mat on the bed and a sleeping bag on top, my humvee was the troop carrier so i had plenty of space. Its my fault because i forgot to grab a cot like everyone else. But the last night i found a cot that one of the guys from the other unit left laying around and i "acquired" it.

Funny, the other unit from the task force was an airborne unit (my unit is an artillery battery) and those guys were pretty ate up (term we use in the us when a unit looks unorganized and low speed).....funny stuff.

i got some supply specialists i know that hook me up with chemlights and extra snacks out in those crappy field problems.....

but if they cut me off...... all i can say is that me and only 1 other guy are licensed to setup and operate a pot belly heater.... screw with me.... NO HEAT!
