I'm hopeless at math so please excuse this question but could someone help me with this problem:

  • A subject is graded 60% for exam and 40% for CA
  • I have got 30% of the available 40% of the CA
  • What is the minimum grade I need in the exam to pass the subject?

Thanks for any help with this! :)

EDIT: A total grade of 40% between the CA and the exam will warrant a pass.

you would need to ask the people providing the course.
as we have no idea what the pass grade is, as they vary from course to course, and we have no idea what course it is you are doing or what the pass mark is.

A student requires 40% overall to pass a subject. This can be a combination of the CA and the exam grade.

You already have 30% of the 40%, so all you need now is 10% of the 60% to get your total grade of 40%.

So this means that in the actual exam, you'll want to score a minimum of 17% out of 100%.
This will give you the 10% of the 60% needed to pass.

Thanks, you're a lifesaver! I really need to practice my maths!
