Is Google down or am I infected?

I have been trying to use google as my search, but it never loads, and I am also sometimes having trouble with it redirecting me to random search sites. I use firefox 5 and windows xp.

Does it do it with all browsers? Have you tried scanning for malware?

i've ran hijackthis and spybotS&D, and removed anything that could have been malicious, but still does it, I will try malwarebytes

We can not help you if you do not do as we suggest. Cargnage has asked twice now to follow the instructions on the Spyware Asylum. Running HJT and SpyBot is not going to remove infections. Not to mention the fact that you can not be sure that what you remove was even infectious in the first place. Add into that the fact that HiJack This doesnt remove the program from the system but only for the boot purposes. It could have easily returned.

You need to do as suggested in order to get proper help.

ok great I think the ComboFix fixed the issue, as malwarebytes didn't pull up anything. and now it seems to be working fine, thank you.
