How is that spamming? If you are posting a link for your own personal gain, or profit, then I would consider it spam. If you are posting the link as a means to help someone, then it is not spam.

In this case, I wouldn't consider a link to www.prizebook.com spam, just an annoying suggestion, but I WOULD consider

www.prizebook.com/signup.php?ref=my_reference_number
so_I_can_get_paid_for_refering_you

to be spam.
