External HD question

i had an external HD to keep stuff off my laptop, (only 67gb HD lol) but since i modded my wii, i had to partition it to WBFS format and a primary partition.

my question is that if i format the other half of my external to NTFS or FAT as a seconday partition will my computer read it?

You should be able to do that no problem. I would recommend a tool called gparted. You can download the live cd and burn it to a disc and boot from it and it should be self explanatory from there.
