K killians45 Fully Optimized Messages 3,243 Aug 17, 2004 #2 make your own? wouldn't be worth the trouble. IDE is capable of 4 devices, 2 per channel. you should have primary IDE and secondary IDE.

TheMajor PowerQuest / Opera Messages 10,176 Location Netherlands Aug 17, 2004 #3 you can buy an expensive mobo with 3 IDE connectors, this way you can attach up to 6 IDE devices. Or you can buy some PCI cards with IDE connectors and add as many devices as you want (don't know if there's a limit)
