They're not going to be able to go much lower than 45 nm. A little bit, yes, but as Kage said, the electrons start to jump and it just makes it physically impossible to go much smaller.

They are in fact anticipating 16nm by 2018
acording to intel scientists tho that will be the limit to moores law 16nm
However i dunno if that will be used in CPU fabrication

Anything is possible. I wouldn't be surprised if they even go smaller. When the hell are optic CPUs coming out?!?!?? That's the next gen of CPU technology.
