Exactly. There are so many expolits and other flaws patched by SP3 why would you want your system insecure?

I could understand when it first came out and it was crashing routers and such, but now it works just fine...no reason to downgrade.

some people think SP3 slows performance on some older machines, not sure how much, I run sp3 on all my machines new and old.

If you're going to run XP, there is no reason to NOT use SP3. XP is like swiss cheese as it is, you might as well get a slice that has the fewest holes.
