Hi,

Someone asked me if I knew what was wrong with their PC. They are running a Windows 7 Desktop. They say when they reboot their PC, it loads to the starting Windows screen, then goes to a Repair Windows Screen. Repairing Windows does not solve the issue.
The PC also reboots at times over and over.

Thanks,
Mark

They are given a choice of repair Windows, or start Windows normally. The down arrow on several keyboards tried, will not let you make the choice of start Windows normally. F8 does not work , so far.

Are you using a wireless keyboard?
If so, then try a wired keyboard, preferably one with a ps2 connector if the pc has the ps2 port. When you can access the bios, look to see if the hard drive is listed in there

Not using a wireless keyboard.
Hard drive is listed in Bios.
I had been using USB connections for mouse and keyboard. I attached a PS2 mouse and keyboard to the machine, and I was able to choose Start Windows normally. It booted to log on screen and needs the password. I hope that the password get's me to desktop.

Thanks for getting me to think. I will write more if the issue is not totally resolved

Mark
