What were you going to grab for a gpu? Or are you just using integrated?

So as to the OP, I have decided to go with the i7-4790k. If anyone wants to comment on motherboards, I am looking at these options:

MSI Z97 Gaming 5

MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming

MSI Z97-GD65 Gaming

MSI Z97 GuardPro

MSI Z87-G55

MSI Z97A Gaming 6

Asus Maximus VII Hero

Asus Z97-Pro

If you have a 'pick of the litter', or think I should look at another model, do tell.

I looked on Amazon before I posted and they are all blank for prices.

Edit: Just clicked to see the used prices and the ASRock Extreme 3 actually has NOS for *drumroll* $385. You can get a whole new 10th gen rig for that price lol

My bad... Your right on that. I see nothing new in the way of any kind of Z97 boards. Ebay would be a better option on a used Z97 board

I regret to say I have not gotten that far yet. What I hoped to be a simple thing has turned into a major research project. As it has been years since I looked into hardware, I pretty much had to start from scratch. I do hope to get to graphics cards (and whatever else) soon. This build does seem to be making some headway since picking a CPU.

Legacy parts take time to track down, and cost more than they used to ten years ago, but yes I can find them.
