BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH WITH CURSOR- win7

AFTER windows7 loading scree, the screen goes black & the cursor appears that is not able to do anything, task manager doesn't show up & it stays like that...even in safe mode, ive tried start-up repair but that isn't much use and restore points cannot be found as my computer cannot be booted up so i cannot restore to earlier date...HELPPPPP!!!!! ID B VERY GRATEFUL! research hasn't helped at all

Sounds like winlogon isn't executing... Are you able to boot into safemode?

Safe mode or any mode located when pressed F8 do the same thing & the task manager still doesn't work with them
