Hmm... I did read quad core instructions.
The chips are set side by side on the Q6600, and theres 2 of them. So, drawing a line down the middle makes sense.
On a true Quad Core, a cross would probably work better, but the Q6600 and others like it just use 2 Core 2 DUO's together.
