accessing a second computer

Hi,

I cannot access a computer on my home network through "my network places"

I can access all the documents I have shared by using map network drives, and I can access them through "run". But when I click on the computer icon in my network places, it gives the access denied error.

There are four computers using win2k, win xp pro, and win xphome. All computers can access each other, except none can access the xphome computer. It can access the others.

I hope I am clear enough. Any ideas?

try right clicking the C:\ in my computer, hit properties> sharing> and click the share the root link.

Are you using different user names? You have to have each user on each computer. For example, if you have the username chupacabra on one computer, and you are trying to access the drive on computer x, you not only have to have sharing enabled but the username chupacabra on computer x with sufficient access priveleges.
