I have a Windows XP computer that chooses not to boot from a Windows 7 Ultimate cd. It will boot from other cd's, but not this one. The cd works in other computers so i know it's not faulty. I've also set the bios to boot from the the DVD drive first, but the computer just boots from the hdd. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

You try hitting F12/F8 on POST to go to the boot menu, and select the drive?

This is a DVD drive, right? Windows 7 doesn't use a CD.

Is this an original windows 7 dvd disk or one that was made from a windows 7 download?
Some dvd drives are picky about the brand and type of disks they can use

It is a download and i tried on both DVD+R and DVD-R disks... It does work on other pc's though

Another thing you can try is to remove the dvd drive from one of the pc's that do boot up from your disk and pop it into the pc you want to install windows with
