Because ABP lets some ads through (specifically some google ones I believe) because they partnered up with companies to whitelist some; that and uBlock has slightly better performance. Biggest reason I bailed off of it and switched to uBlock.

Use regular Adblock, not ABP. Everybody who complains about these issues use ABP instead and I've never had any adblock issues to date.

So AB over ABP and ublock over AB, so I should just switch to ublock?

UPDATE - Ive removed ABP and installed ublock, Ill see how it goes.

Up to you really. I decided on uBlock after reading some of the small performance benefits it has over ABP.

I care more about what is able to block more, trackings, ads etc..

If you're concerned about tracking stuff, then you should install Privacy Badger from EFF as well.

I'm still using ABP and never had any problems with it. I didn't know it can track you tho.
