Corrupt flashdrive

Is it possible to recover date from a corrupt flashdrive? ...it was corrupt after I unsafely ejected from a Mac ...its impossible but I just thought I'd ask anyway..

There are various free programs that you can run to try and retrieve the data. Recuva is one, but if it's corrupted then there is little to no chance that you can get it back. A word of caution, I have removed a USB storage device hundreds and hundreds of times in the 'unsafe manner' from a windows pc and had no issues, but the 2 times I've done it on a Mac the drive has gotten corrupted. Mac seems to be much more sensitive about USB storage removal, so going forward remember to always eject the drive before taking it out.

i think recuva still needs to see a partition to recover data. it sounds like the filesystem on the flash drive is hosed.

something like the following would help recreate the partition

Thanks! I'll try those out when I get a chance, hopefully it works but I don't have my hopes up.
Yeah I agree to what you say about Mac, I wonder why it's more sensitive though?
