photoshop error and alt code error

1.
In photoshop cs2, i cant chose colors. whenever i chose a color, it automatically turns to grey.

2.
Whenever I try to use an Alt Code, such as alt+0208(the d with a line through it), it wont work. that alt code comes up as this-â—˜.

Please, if you know anything about this, reply.

well i don't know about number 2 but for number 1. the problem is you're in grayscale mode.

go to Image>mode then click on RGB

yup i had that problem... it scared me for a bit i didn't know what was wrong lol

that should fix it ^^^^
