Xbox doesnt update.....

Today I turned on my xbox 360 and when I tried to login in to xbox live it said it has to download a update for the xbox 360. I hit yes and for some reason it trys to download it but says the network connection isnt working. When I do a test for the connection it passes everything but when it gets to xbox live it says to download the update which fails again. I tried going through the modem and the router so I know its not my internet. Is my xbox 360 broken or is there just a setting or some little trick I need to perform?

Nevermind. Got home from school really quick just to check and see if it works now and well it works.
