I switched option #7 to Symantec Endpoint Protection as F-Secure wasn't really racking in the votes. SEP is used quite a bit more.

AVG has worked best for me.

When you say the best, are you talking of the freebe or have you upgraded at whatever cost. I'm going the AVG way on the strength of the opinions here. Will the freebe do the job or do I need more.

ok, what is the best rootkit software to get? I may have to get AVG free n a rootkit software for a computer im trying to fix. Possibly me too since my license needs to re renewed for Kaspersky .

Microsoft has a great RootKit software. The Malicious Software Removal tool.

Takes a while to scan but it is actually very effective.

^^ i think i have that lol. I dont remember. Just now, ive decided to reformate the PC im working on, so i need to back up the HDD before i do that.
