Rumor: PlayStation Loses Metal Gear Solid Exclusivity

why are they stopping it at 4?

1) Hideo Kojima is leaving the mgs franchise.
2) It's been said many times that this 4th will be closure to the saga.
3) All of the main characters will probably die.

If there are any games set in the universe, which is rather unlikely, they won't be called Metal Gear Solid. It will be a totally new saga like mgs was to the original metal gear games.

This ties into the Konami quote because a new saga would be affected by any MGS decisions. It's the thing as if an exclusivity agreement is made for mgs4, Konami would still be allowed to release an mgs4: substance type of game.

agreed, they should just all unite in making consoles, PCs too because then there would be no competition and everyone would be much happier as they wouldnt be arguing.
