A lot of files ive found are compressed in .rar format.

Does anyone know of any good free programs for decompresing .rar format files?

i've always wanted to know what an .rar file is, when i use morpheus and look at getting some games some are in .rar format and are around 2.5gb.

can someone explaint to me or give me a link that explains .rar files.

its just another compression format, nothing new, there are dozens of different formats:
zip,bzip2,7zip,rar,gzip,tgz, etc etc etc

yeah .rar is just another way to make a file smaller like all other compression methods. yuo find it alot on the net cause compressoin allows you to download the file faster
