Quick Question

its a WGT624, and it says

Set Password

Old Password _______
New Password _______
Repeat New Password ________

so after i set this it will ask for a password when you connect to the network via wifi?

yes... it will also show the connection with a lock on it so others that are "borrowing" your internet won't really try anymore.

make the password strong so people can't guess it.

ok now i can't get into the config.... i changed the password and then it prompted me for a username and password........ i tried admin admin but it ddin't work

you set the username and password to admin admin ?

btw... did you set the router password or a wep password ?


If you set your router password and you don't remember what it is... just hold down the reset button for like 20 seconds or so... note: this will wipe out configurations inside the router.

no but before it loged in with that. the username was admin and i'm guessing the pw was admin....

Looks like you set the pwd for the router configuration interface instead of WEP. Try logging on the router with whatever you tried to set the WEP security to.
