So anyone here going to quakecon 08? if you have before, explain your experiance!

ill start: went to 07' and it was hella fun. i got to spin the wheel thing for nvidia, and i got a beachtowel. and all the other choices on the spinny wheel were like gtx's and stuff. and i rolled a **** beachtowel.

Seems too geeky for me, even though i live near dallas im sure im not going. I play games on the side mostly.

yea, you have to be a bigger gamer to really get it. its a 3000+person lan party with tourney and stuff. So it would be no fun for a nongamer

I loved 07, and have high hopes for 08.....I also got to participate in the quickdraw tourny...didnt win tho....quake4 isnt my game.

yea, im i guess decent at quake4, but im not amazing or anything. played it at a lan or two, so maybe a total of 5 hours gameplay lol. quakecon 08 is going to be tight.

Just curious though, what monitors are in the last picture?

im not sure what the brand is, but theya were around 36 inch.
they were friggin huge though....but not as big as my 40 inch samsung im taking this year.
