New Router

i have two routers. just one lying around, so i thought i would put it to use and getter faster transferring through my local network instead of my old hub. so, i have to disable dhcp, are you referring to my main computer with the second router that it is connected to?

No, he means that you will have to disable DHCP on your 2nd router, the one that is between your border router and PC. Border router meaning the router that connected directly to the internet. Your 2nd router(the one you're disabling DHCP on) will be in the middle of your network so to speak(between the PC's and first router). Hope this makes sense.
