Pardon the double post here. Just coming back with what I got on this.
A lot closer to where I want this now, I'm thinking it's probably a settings issue somewhere. After going through that guide I figured out how to enable my other connection adapter so I can split the two different connections apart...
While both machines are now able to send/receive packets from each other there is still something blocking them from full access. You can see the other machine in the networks now too, so this seems to be the only remaining issue...
I'd gone through the process set out on that page from Microsoft, but I'm assuming there is an inconsistency somewhere in a setting I missed?
