I was wondering if you guys could help me out...
Recently whenever I play WoW, or Battlefield 2, after a while of playing my game just freezes and all sorts of screeching sounds come out from the speaker and I am forced to press the reset button on the pc because nothing else works. Then after the reboot, once I load the game up again it'll freeze the PC within 30 seconds. I never get any freezes at all when playing any other games, surfing the web, listening to music, etc.
Now I aint a computer tech but I figured since both are memory intensive games it might have something to do with that. I took out one of the 512 sticks of ram and left the other one in there and booted the computer and ran the games for a bit and nothing. I switched the sticks, and even switched the slots and all tests seemed to run the games fine. I eventually put back both sticks and everything ran smoothly for about 4 hours until it rebooted again.
So I am pretty stumped, what do you guys think the problem could be and what are my options?
In case you need to know my pc's stats or anything...
Intel Pentium 4, 3000 MHz (15 x 200)
2x Corsair CMX512-3200LL
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb
