I found my rogers highspeed internet "welcome kit" it has a cd in it will this help me at all with CAT 5 connecting thry router?

someone just jsut tell me off the bat how to make a lan connection with window xp home sp2? Ive tried it but when it goes to dial my isp numbers or something? i dunno but it fails

baha i got it it was SOOO simple all i did was install the drivers for it lol
