This is a baffle box i built for my friend, for his 12inch Ecplipse aluminum sub, he hits 146dB in his car when he uses this box,

6 years ago when I had 2 jbl 1500 in a similar built 10 cubic foot (the one that got wet) I hit 158 db (I fried them in 2001 after 8 years of service. they stop making them so I can't get anymore) . I never miked the koves. they are loud, but they don't stop your breathing like the jbl's did

I was pushing themwhen an earthquake PA 4300 ( $2800.00 in 1995. 380x4, 1200 x 2. 1550 x2 @1% distortion with an external subsonic filter applied. I sold it on ebay a few year ago) that went across my whole trunk and I had 3 battery, 3caps and a 160 amp alternator (I have an gm 200 amp alt. now)

My claim to fame was the loudest 2 15 in the world (maybe, maybe not). my 2 15's can out hit anybody 12 12's , 8 15's etc. except my friend's eric and gene alexander. eric set all kind of world records with his 4 15's(he hit like a 171 or something 2 years ago) , gene set a few too including a 158 with 1 15 it only hit one note though 62 hertz where my box is full spectrum the box was almost like my home subwoofer box except it had upper round port on it too. I took his design from it to build my box

Ericb is my email name, Vance is my real one. he set the world record with the 1 15 in 1996. I'm suprise that he didn't mention that. it was in another car

Funny I have one those sitting on my mantel. I have to glue the alminum back to the spider. it is my neighbor's

I had the second version of this amp. it had more heat sink, more output transistor, more power and it was a different color and a lot bigger
