best av?

I was just wondering what you guys think is a good antivirus because I need something else that isn't avg because it lets in all kinds of viruses.

You say AVG lets all kinds of viruses in? No, Not AVG, the best AV out there that all most everyone claims. Well, I use Symantec Antivirus 10 Corporate Edition. I aint got no viruses and ITS NOT A RESOURCE HOG

My dad has avg and his computer had to go to the repair shop because it had like 8 really bad viruses on it that AVG didn't pick up. I found them using trend micro house call but it couldn't repair them.

I use Avast. I don't know how well it does in the official statistics or anything, but it blocked tons of virusses. It scans LAN, websites, email etc.

which version of avast are you using, home free edition?

I'm using Home.

I use Antivir
which is fast, and has a really high detection level.

is panda any good? Because the computer repair shop put it on my dads computer

Dunno. I installed it once. It was a bloated resource hog, very slow.

ok because my dads computer is only 500mhz with 192mb ram and win xp so its slow to begin with.
