I have a 80 gig wd hd and i cant install windows (linux works fine). I get a "Error Loading Operating System Message" , I formated it about 20 times, ran chkdsk, bootcfg, fixboot, fixmbr and nothing works. I was about to return when i tried a old 10 gig i had lying around. I installed windows on the 10 gig formated the 80gig in windows and installed xp from windows it worked fine i was getting the os load option screen i log in to windows on the 80 gig then restart .When i try to select the win xp on the 80 gig i get "missing or corrupted file hal.dll" but the file is there any help?????
