8800GTS 320MB released today !!

Your 8800GTX is still better yes, not by a giant margin but still a good bit. Your card is still the most powerful card to this day. This is just to allow DX10 card at a cheaper budget.

yes its still better than this. were so excited because of the price/performance of the card. from what im hearing its price/performance is alot better than the 8800gtx and possibly the 8800gts w/ 640mb.

Aren't these just regular 8800 GTS cards with less RAM? So in theory they should perform the same 99% of the time.

Looks good for 300 bucks, although I'm still drooling over the R600.

Yea most likley, as 256 was still enough for games, 320 is more of a safe haven I guess.

yeah im still waiting for the r600 debut, then i'll make a decision. plus the cheaper g8's should be out around that time im assuming.

I'm sure it would work really well. The GeForce 8 series has a revolutionary new architecture in the GPU that allows it to render a lot of pizels a lot more efficiently and quickly... in tandem with a good CPU and RAM it would give u fine fps on recent 3D games... at the very least a lot higher than the 24 fps our human eyes can percieve.
