Genesis Games Coming to Steam


Sega has announced that on June 1st they will begin releasing several waves of Genesis games onto the PC platform with the pricing said to be "from $2.99". The games will be available with sources besides Steam, but details for them have not yet been published.

The first wave will consist of the following games:
• Comic Zone
• Altered Beast
• Crack Down
• Gain Ground
• Ecco the Dolphin
• Shadow Dancer: the Secret of Shinobi
• Golden Axe
• Sonic 3D Blast
• Vectorman
• Shinobi III
• Space Harrier II

The PS2 3d one is crap. It was originally an arcade game, then an immensly popular Genesis/Sega MegaDrive series.

I remember playing Revenge of Shinobi as a little kid...never could get passed the waterfall level (level 2 I think lmao).

Old school goodness! Good to see some of the mid 80 / early 90's console games getting some recognision.
Athough I don't mind having a bash at some of these types, I just seems that most people seem to go back to mid 70's early 80's retro game when ever they re-release some thing.

I do hope that Nintendo does some thing like this too. Generation Y/X demands it.

I do see myself getting Golden Axe.

I really can not say I was impressed with the PS2 version myself. Same goes with AlterBeast for PS2.

Mind you, I did enjoy the PS2 version of Contra.
