Windows Office/ Norton probs

Hi,


whenever I open any office software now, such as Mword or Ppt, it always hangs... also, the Norton error pops up saying Norton antivirus has encountered an error, and has to close.

now, i realised that office softwares always have a virus check prior to opening any document, in my case, using Norton.

however, my norton always closes whenever i try to open it.

is there a way to not making office run virus checks using norton, but AVG, or preferably even none?

It depends on which versions of Norton and which versions of Office you are talking about. Some older versions of Norton have problems with newer versions of Office.

hi,

their definitly compatible. i think it's some virus closing my norton automatically, which results in word not being able to open cos of norton not being open in the first place.

shld i enable norton @ startup?
