I am paying for Virgin Media ADSL 8MB, but am only getting 40kbps to my computer plus even then it disconnects every hour or so.

My Main pc is connected by Ethernet, and one is connected with wireless.

Router is a Belkin N+ F5D8635 Wireless-N ADSL Router with Built in Modem.

ADSL Info
Type G992_5_A

Modem Status Showtime

Downstream - Upstream

Data Rate(Kbps)
742 - 711
Noise Margin
10.1 - 3.5
Output power
3.7 - 3.8
Attenuation
54.3 - 3.4

Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

According to your DSL Modem Readings your synced at 742K download speed. You should call your ISP and find out why. Are you connecting your modem phone line through a splitter? if so remove it. A bad sync can be caused by a faulty line filter or an unfiltered phone or other device sharing the DSL line.

Thanks alot, I didn't expect a phone being plugged in somewhere else would do that, but moving the phone downstairs has fixed it (it was plugged in without a filter on the line).. Thanks alot. :)
