Does using onboard sound instead of your graphics card sound increase your FPS in games? My thought is that my graphics card wont have to focus on sound so it can use that little power towards rendering an image.
I have a gtx 560 OC
my mobo MSI Global ? Motherboard - 890GXM-G65

I am wondering because the more FPS the better!

- I have an amplifier with 2 4-way speakers attached. a 10in BASS, 2 mid way, and a tweeter. They are Pioneer speakers. Windows is set to use 192KHZ output and the game that I play the most, ARMA 2 has 192KHZ output so its not like I am doing the average load for sound processing.

Not that I am aware of but onboard sound especially realtek hd audio handles things better than nvidia does sound wise.
If I were you run the uninstall process and select nvidia sound, let it finish and reboot.
Use the official onboard sound drivers and tweak it to your liking.
