yes a reformat would fix your computer, although obviously you would lose all your work unless you partitioned or backed up.

you shouldn't hijack someone else's thread, and make sure you no what your doing when formatting just insert the windows xp cd and choose format during the installation procedure ,then install xp. It took me an hour to install windows and get the internet working, then a few hours to reinstall all my software and drivers.

well i did a spybot s&d and my problems seemed to go away so im ok now ill report back if anything happens

ok well still run all the software I recommended each will find something different. Its always best to be safe than sorry.

uhg...well yeah sorry for hijacking your thread TREMBER but there are like no replies to my thread...well ill try to get onto the websites and get those programs...yeah i have something like CWS or w.e. so i think ill go to that site...
