Hey,
I'm getting my new AMD 64 system in a week or so. Consists of an Athlon 64 3500+ and a Gigabye GA-K8U motherboard.
The thing is, I can only afford to upgrade piece by piece, so I'm gonna be stuck with using my OLD DDR 266MHz RAM for now, when the board can use DDR400.
Is my RAM going to fry if the motherboard tries to run it at full speed, or is my FSB gonna drop to 133 or will it automatically set a divider or anything? This is one of these things I'm not too keen on, FSB and RAM relationships.
