wait so if i got a new modem, would it be faster, or does that not make much of a difference.
also can someone explain how to find out how fast a connection is by factoring the internet service-modem-router. in other words how fast is the overall internet speed once you've factored in those 3 things?
for example lets say you have the fastest version of att dsl (http://www.att.com/gen/general?pid=10938) with this modem http://store.att.com/catalog/produc...2210-02-1002K&CategoryId=catMRG&show=Features
and this router http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8305568&st=router&type=product&id=1173577562535
what would the overall speed be??
last question: if a modems LAN is 10/100 base-t would a 1 gps router work with it, also are there rj-11 to rj-45 adapters? and will any router work with any modem?
thanks a lot
try to answer all the questions plz
