Router Problem

Ok, I have a router, but it won't work with my virtual server. No one can find the server. I turned off the firewalls to both computers and the firewall in the router. I changed the port number of the router to the same port number of the server. After doing all of these things no one could still get to my server. What do I do?

Is it a home network? What versoin of windows are you running?

I'm running a windows 98. It is a home network.

You have to OPEN the port your server is running on- on the router.

I went to the Remote Manager and changed the port and enabled the remote manager. Unless I have the wrong port placed in the router than i already did that. If i do have the wrong port how to I find the correct one?
